Twelve Bars from Mars is a jazz band with vocals based in Bradford/Shipley, West Yorkshire, which go out as a three piece, four piece or five piece. The imaginative and varied play-list includes tasteful renditions of vocal jazz standards and instrumentals such as ‘Fly Me to the Moon’, ‘Angel Eyes’, ‘You’d Be So Nice to Come Home To’, ‘Autumn Leaves’ with upbeat swinging numbers including ‘Time After Time’, ‘Don’t Worry About Me’, ‘Paper Moon’, ‘Just One of Those Things’ and many more from that jazz-rich era. Barbara Baker sings powerful versions of ‘Good Morning Heartache’, ‘My Funny Valentine’ and other tunes, accompanied by the melodic saxophone of Steve Eustace and understated piano playing by Pete .
