Review: Pete Tong and Kolsch bring on the heat at Watermark NYC

This past weekend, Pete Tong brought some friends along to bring the perfect house music vibes to Watermark NYC. For us, it was our first time coming to this venue, just hidden within the Southstreet Seaport area. The lineup was pretty stacked to begin with, so we had high expectations. From Lauren Lane to Kolsch, Pete Tong’s supporting cast were just as heavy hitting as the man himself.

Unfortunately for us, we missed Lane’s set, but just by talking to a few people at Watermark, she didn’t hold anything back.

On the flip side of things, we were lucky enough to come just in time for Kolsch and Pete Tong’s B2B set that would go all night long. From hard hitting house tracks to bumpin’ disco, both DJs had an assault of tracks ready to be played at their disposal. The genres varied throughout the set, but the vibe remained the same; people kept dancing, and the night never lost its energy.

For anyone ever considering Watermark as a venue, we would highly recommend it. Our experience with All Gone with Pete Tong was enough to sell us on the space. It’s definitely not hard to sell people on a waterfront venue in downtown Manhattan. Huge props to RPM for putting on a fantastic show.
