LISTEN | MIAMIGO share funk-driven new track ‘Forever’

Premiering on Huw Stephens’ radio show on Thursday night, MIAMIGO have dropped their very Prince-sounding, 80s funk-driven track ‘Forever’.

With an opening that also has the sound of Gorillaz thrown in – the latest single is out 15 July and showcases the band’s sound in all it’s glory. It’s bold, damn-right catchy and indie-pop all over.

MIAMIGO have made their mark over the past 12 months with their unique and recognisable sound, ‘Forever’ digs at past relationships and falseness that always tends to overcome and turn situations sour, they said:

“We feel it’s a confident declaration to a past relationship, ‘Oh weren’t we wonderful’ and the overuse of the word ‘Forever’ making something that felt special becoming superficial, as it does in this day and age.”

The band have recently been playing huge venues around Europe with electro duo Hurts as well as touring the length of the UK with up-and-coming US outfit Transviolet. They also played a storming set on the opening day of the festival at The Great Escape (make sure to follow our coverage on our Snapchat – neverenoughnote), showing their home town why they’re something to be proud of.

Upcoming Live Dates:

21 May – Glasgow – Stereo (supporting Transviolet)
9 June – Manchester – Night and Day Cafe
11 June – Netherlands – Pinkpop Festival
23 July – Cambridge – Secret Garden Party
30 July – Tunbridge Wells – LeeFest
