We expect something different when the Brooklyn-based Juno Roome call to our door, on this occasion a suite of psychedelic shimmers and a singer who has a weight bearing down on them so the words barely flow. At least at first and until we get to the pitch of their romantic manner and ‘Quite Like You Do’ feels all the world like a love song for those who want to drift on a tide of aural swells. Close your eyes and Juno Roome will do the rest in establishing a connection with that long lost aspiration for deep connection. Post ambient and full of wonder these minutes are just the tonic for the great reset. KH
