What a relaxed piece of psychedelic pop this, most reminding of Elliott Smith but you could draw a straight line from the Shins back the Beatles too. The production has a woozy lo-fi quality but the song is stellar, the melodies cascading amid the loose chords so we get the feeling of being slightly drunk of a balmy summer’s evening. This is the sort of music I scour the internet for, gems in the undergrowth and so it would be remiss not to show ‘I Hate The Sound’ any shard of light that we can muster. KH
