It was First Aid Kit that first bolted into my head but that might be the wrong adjective to use for this is folk of the kind that is not designed for getting anyone startled. There is a dreamy aspect too that wanders into Cocteau Twin territory, the twinkling in the sky like the stars at night giving us the inspiration to recover those dreams we used to Dream. All achieved by a singer who reaches deep inside and returns a primal performance that is all too rare in these over produced times. A heartfelt embrace for all from this Portland duo of Ryan Linder and Malachi Graham. KH
