Space Boozzies drop new vinyl

The garage punksters from up the Coast known as Space Boozzies have dropped new vinyl! Our sneaky contact shared the following info:

Good news from Woy Woy! Garage punkers Space Boozzies’ new 12” is on the press — Livin’ up the Coast bangs out 12 songs in 25 minutes, and is the follow-up to their debut album I Feel Alright! which sold out on vinyl: https://outtaspace.bigcartel.com/product/space-boozzies-i-feel-alright-12-lp-outtaspace.

Recorded in Sydney by Clayton at Brain; mastered by Mikey Young — and with an extra Boozzie, John “Frecko” Freckleton (ex-Roddy Ray’da and the Surfin’ Caesars) — we found Frecko on a Syd-Woy Woy train — releasing digitally today and the 12” is out in October hope this cheers you up — Livin’ up the Coast!

Now we are incredibly familiar and dare we say super fond of these guys, god love their cotton socks. In these crazy times they are akin to the BHP’ers and just keep movin…for if you stand still you will be but a mere memory.

Legendary US music journo and liner note writer Byron Coley called it: “One of the best straight-ahead bursts of Australian punk classicism in quite a while … the power of the basics is undeniable.” Want proof?

This is not surprising, given the Boozzies’ mongrel-punk pedigree, including Special Patrol Group, Butt Nugget, The A-Borts, Mudrac, Precursor, Moot,  Roddy Ray’da and the Surfin’ Caesars, and the Intercontinental Playboys.

The first single from ‘Livin’ up the Coast’ is ‘Makes Me Come Alive’, available here: https://open.spotify.com/track/5qB2ECR2dF0Yrky6VKrqDz?si=RTQfw-FJR9CGNn-M2ZlFZg and most platforms with a limited-edition pressing of 150 12”s available from Outtaspace in October: https://outtaspace.bigcartel.com

So whenever the powers that be allow gigs to be wild, reckless and utter mayhem, may we look forward to seeing them, shooting them, swigging whatever comes to hand and having a fucking ball while we are at it!
