Video Streaming Platforms like YouTube are ALSO Paying Royalties for Your Music Videos

Video Streaming sites like YouTube or Vimeo are paying royalties for your Music videos and/or lyric videos only if you have an Isrc number embedd

ed in your master video file. Most music distributors usually issue ISRC only for audio tracks rather than your video files so if you also want to GET PAID for your Music Videos, you need an ISRC embedded in your video file as well!

YouTube does in fact already have their own monetization system in place but what they don’t tell you is that it is possible for you to collect additional royalties not just from your uploaded videos. If your music video does in fact hold an ISRC number, then you will get royalties from your Performing Rights Organization, PRO (ASCAP, BMI, etc), and/or your distributor separate from the money YouTube already pays out to you through their system.

Whether you have a music video, a live concert video or a lyric video, it is a good habit to embed ISRC numbers to your master video files before posting the video ANYWHERE. Web ‘n Retail is licensed by the RIAA to not only issue ISRC numbers but we also fully embed the ISRC to your masters along with ALL your metadata that you may have (including a cover image) .
