What first drew you into music?

Music has always been a big part of my life as either escapism, enchancement, or just for the vibe ,growing up I used to perform covers at school and everyone was telling me I was gonna be a singer, I think just because of that I didn’t want to be a singer, my nature is too rebellious so as soon as someone tries to tell me something I’m on something else .

But it wasn’t really before my pre-teens I started experimenting with making my own music, it was mainly because I moved to this Institution, I didn’t have any friends and I was away from my family, it naturally resulted in some anger and other feelings.

So I wrote a lot of poetry, I was very inspired by Tupac back in those days. One of the institutions they moved me to got me in contact with this other kid who was living right by and he had a studio in his home. I started hanging out with him and just re-making other peoples songs for fun to adventually end up here making my own music.

Listening to your music we can tell you love incorporating interesting new sounds and techniques within each track! What inspires you to experiment and evolve?

The fact that I get bored very easily I think plays a big role, I don’t wanna listen to a project and feel like it’s just one sound . I love hearing mix Genre Music, it’s a lot of that these days. Anytime I hear something I really like I try to incorporate that some how into my music, of course with my own twist, I’m also fond of making worlds. Like I will get an idea and make like 7-15 tracks about that mood/place and each track is evolving and going deeper into it, and I try to find beats that are very unlike each other but has like a build up from the first track to the last. It’s just fun it kinda makes it a story or adventure.

It seems like you already found your signature sound Do you have any tips for upcoming musicians that can’t seem to find their own sound?

Be patient, take time for yourself 2 experiment and make mistakes, be yourself as cliche as it is. Listen to different genre music to increase your own creativity, and just have fun. Don’t think about what other people normally like, everything is not for everybody. Write from what you trully have lived, know and what your attitude is so that your delivery can be real. It will help you find the melodies of your soul.

Your track “Outta Ctrl” is your best track in our opinion! From its artwork to the Incredibly powerful sound we absolutely love it. Could you tell us more about the story behind this track? Also, what is your creative process like?

The song is really about some unhealthy coping mechanisms and unhealthy relationships with drugs and boys. I was in a dark place when making it, I made it when I was drunk and was freestyling over the beat, the chorus I made didn’t fit thou so I just left it like that for a week or so, then I was in the shower and the chorus just came to me , I had to run out the shower grab a towel and just record it real quick so I didn’t forget. After I made the track it just felt like a great reflection of what I was going thru, helped me kinda piece myself together.

My creative process is a little different from time to time. Sometimes I put on a beat and just freestyle through it (toplines), sometimes I write a chorus or a Vers while listening to the beat cause the beat gives me a subject type vibe.Sometimes I imagine a video in my head and write out from that perspective. I try to just let it happen naturally I hate forcing creativity I really need it to be fun, so I love trying different approaches whenever my brain pops up with one.

What are your musical goals for the future?

To get my music heard on a world basis by people who connect with it , have a core fan base who listens to my music. Continuing making great music and have fun doing it . Hopefully collab with some dope artists like The Weeknd, Saint Jhn, Billie Eilish….

What do you have planned for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?

I’m dropping a single called “LoneWorld” in about 1-2 months ,it has a dope video and everything so I’m really excited about that. I released a teaser of it on my Instagram and the response was great. Following that up I’m dropping a EP it has some dope summer vibes and some uptempo stuff on it.

I’ll be releasing a lot of dope shit all 2020 so make sure to watch out.
