The Man Behind “Dark Place”, Meet Alex Goto

What first drew you into music?

I fell in love with electronic Music when I was a kid, I listened to my brothers’ records and CDs of Gigi D’Agostino,Benny Benassi, lasgo,Square Head and many more. And as at that time there was no Spotify ,itunes ,I had to wait to touch the radios to hear the new songs , I couldn’t wait to be old enough to go to the clubs haha.

Today I am a DJ / producer of electronic music and that makes me very happy. And taking the opportunity, I would like to thank some people who helped in this journey that is just beginning,My “teachers” Peter K & Raffa Maru and  the Club Black and Silver that I’m resident Dj.

Listening to your music we can tell you love incorporating interesting new sounds and techniques within each track! What inspires you to experiment and evolve?

I love various styles of sounds, they always try to mix a little of each like trap, funky hip hop, jazz etc.

I think the important thing is to do with love and dedication and with each track I am evolving with errors and hits.

It seems like you already found your signature sound Do you have any tips for upcoming musicians that can’t seem to find their own sound?

I think when she wants something she has to study hard, research hard and stay focused on what she wants.

Yours you will produce Bass House for example, you have to “eat” bass house in the cafe , lunch and dinner.

Nowadays, there are a lot of youtube tutorials that helps a lot too.

Your track “Dark Place” is your best track in our opinion! From its artwork to the Incredibly powerful sound we absolutely love it. Could you tell us more about the story behind this track? Also, what is your creative process like?

Thank you! This track I did when I was really sad and discouraged, but making music makes me feel good, so I started doing it based on some producers I like, which are Habstrakt, Loge21, Matroda.

So in a few days I had already finished her and feeling much better.

I always start my tracks with a good drums and fx,later I will develop bassline.

But this process varies, if I have an a capella I start by intro then I go to the drop.

What are your musical goals for the future?

My goal is to be able to release into big  labels, and be able to live only with music.

What do you have planned for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?

I’ll release soon for a big label in Brazil a GiGi D’Agostino Remix in the GHOUSE style.

I also intend by the end of the year 2019 to be releasing a Bass House EP.
