What first drew you music and hip hop in particular?

Your track “Don’t leave” is very modern and sounds very professional. How did you achieve such a great signature sound in such a short time? Also, what is your creative processes like?

Honestly, I achieved that Song because I have a lot of faith in myself! I can say it was much harder to perform at the studio than I anticipated it to be. No matter how hard I was trying I could not get the word “I’m” to come out of my mouth on that chorus but I was determined to make it work. The true words were supposed to be “it you that I’m high off “indeed” but “I” ended up working out just fine I was just being super critical of the song and it turned out to be one of my favorite songs that are on the tape (So Bad). So I can say that I achieved that sound with a few takes and lots of water. When it comes to creating I just sit around and listen to beats and if I can freestyle something that I like then I write it down. I don’t spend too much time on something I wouldn’t be able to vibe out to for a while. I enjoy the whole writing process because you’re always just trying to come up with something no one else has said.

You have worked with many great producers/artists in the past If you could work with anyone who would that be?

Man, that’s a good question because there are so many good artists out now but I’d have to say Dj Khaled at this point! I like the man’s work ethic and almost every drop he does is a straight hit, and who wouldn’t want to be apart of that. Hell, I’m trying to be just like the guy with hit after hit after hit. But that’s producer wise, artist wise tell ya boy drake to holla at me I got plenty of heat in the bag.

All of your tracks are great examples of how hip hop and R&B can work together! How do you manage to mix the two so well together?

It was kind of something that came natural to me because I never try to stick to just one thing in particular in a song. In my opinion, it’s kinda good to switch up the flow a bit to keep people guessing. I was much more into r&b as a kid so it’s always going to be a pretty strong part of what I do, but I love the hip hop/ rap effect with it because it just brings a different feel with it.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Honestly, I could see myself being a songwriter and that’s not to take away from anything that I do, but it just comes so easily to me and I’m constantly coming up with songs that I know other people would kill. I WILL ALWAYS make Music though to this of you still wondering so don’t be discouraged. It’s just some real money in being a songwriter.

What are your goals for the new year, any upcoming projects we can get excited about?

My goals for this year are to just get a lot of music and visuals out for the people. I have so much music that I have held onto for too long already as it is, but all I can be say is be ready for a lot of new sounds because they will be coming fast with a lot of switch ups. I do have a project on the way actually. It’s called “Never Too Much” which showcases more of a hip-hop/trap/rap style haha. A whole lot of shit in one. It will be out within the next month just be ready for it!
