Peer Kusiv produces an exciting new remix of AVEC's ‘Bones’ via Earcandy Recordings. The German producer has remixed tracks by the likes of Robin Schulz, and Michael Jackson, and has an astonishing 17 million views on YouTube alone. Kusiv is the next big thing to grace the electronic music scene. For AVEC, 22-year old vocalist and musician, her main goals are to perfect the mix of using heartfelt lyrics and experimenting with textural sounds, she says lyrics are the key component to writing music and you can tell she sticks with this principle as her lyrics are so perfectly written and on point. The music around them fits like glue and contributes to the work of an exceptional artist.

The beginning of the 'Bones' remix is perhaps one of the greatest I've heard, with the guitar being introduced first with a small one bar riff, which features all the way through, and delicate sounds layered on top to compliment it. After this, the vocals are introduced; just a simple sample with an enormous delay which has been added to give the line a feeling like it never ends and just fades out into darkness before being brought back again. Finally, the Bass enters, however, this bass is a synth, which gives a much warmer and thicker tone than a normal plucked one would. By using the synth bass it has given the option to add modulation to give the bass the "wobble effect" which has been done exquisitely in this track. Peer Kusiv comments on his remix, "I wanted to increase the deep, melancholic touch of the song. For me, the wobble bass after the drop is the underlining the mood of the song.”

To sum this track up, it is the work of two geniuses and every instrument is lined up perfectly to all compliment one another. AVEC and Kusiv have created a wonderful, ambient track which you never want to stop listening to as every time you do you pick up on another new and exciting technique which has been used.
