New Single 'More' Is Glistening Alt-Pop From Zoey Lily

Zoey Lily's new song 'More' is a slow-simmering track with a glistening pop structure and carefree cadence heightened by raw, unpolished vocals. 'More' follows Lily's 2017 single 'Nothing' which was supported by many tastemakers and BBC Introducing London.
The Hackney-based singer-songwriter who is also a multi-instrumentalist, composer, co-producer and dancer comments on her new single, "I wrote this song about a guy I met a while ago who left the impression of being the super cool kid everyone admired and wanted to be like. When I got to know him closer I realised that he was struggling a lot to keep up with the image he created himself and actually felt very worthless and empty. In his own way he kept letting me down because he wasn’t able to let me in”.
A keen musician from a young age Zoey Lily (née Zoe Lily Lewis) discovered the piano and songwriting at the age of 13 and was drawn to her father’s acoustic Martin guitar at 17, an instrument which she still writes most of her songs with today. Raised between London and rural Southern France, Zoey Lily draws inspiration from her multicultural and multilingual upbringing which has also included international tours with her live music agent father (Joss Stone, Van Morrison) and the artistic influence of her mother (a former Parisian fashion designer).
'More' is certainly a youthfully charming addition to Zoey Lily's catalogue of talents.
