We all remember Kiesza for that Music video ‘Hideaway.’ She managed to dance in the street flawlessly, leap out of cars without running out of breath and having that famous hair do that managed to stay in place for the whole of the video. Meanwhile, my hair goes frizzy as soon as I stand outside the door. So, when I saw that Kiesza featured on this track I knew it had to be good.
Canadian chart-topper Kiesza has contributed her stunning vocals on a new single that is different but also spectacular. The ‘Hideaway’ Star features on a debut track by French collective Skygge led by composer and producer Benoir Carré and also starring Belgian artist Stromae who composed the song. Production team THE BIONIX and SKYGGE have used Artificial Intelligence Tools to create fresh new music instead of mere lab demos for their forthcoming multi-artist album also entitled 'Hello Shadow'. There is nothing like the times when a song comes on the radio and you recognize the beat because it has been used in so many songs. SKYGGE focuses on creating something incredibly new that nobody has heard before. It makes us feel like we are all witnessing a new part of music - exciting, right?
“When Stromae and SKYGGE sent me the melody I felt that it sounded different from anything
I’ve ever heard before. It’s catchy and hunting”, explains viral pop sensation Kiesza. While
talking about the tech side of the project Stromae adds “it is a similar transition we had between
acoustic and electric instruments. Tomorrow, we will all be making music this way.”
The producers all share the same desire for music, making pop songs catchy and addictive. The friends brought together their different creative backgrounds and experiences to explore new creative paths of music. The mysterious video hits many aspects of different movies. It's Harry Potter crossed with The Conjuring with a slight fairytale feeling. I know what you’re thinking, what
is this craziness? But just hang in there a minute. The video takes us all on a journey. It follows in the steps, or shall I say shadow, of a ‘shadow girl’ who is turning into a human and she’s only just discovering her newly evolved senses and physical body. Funnily enough, SKYGGE means shadow in Danish and that fits right in with the video. At first, it seems like a horror film; a girl who isn’t human, wandering about a house with flickering lights in the background and having powers to turn off a TV. Matilda is that you? I was really expecting the girl from Rings to pop up but luckily, she didn’t. As an audience, it’s nice to be able to watch the Shadow girl examining her own growth and evolution as a human being.

Born from the creative minds of Benoit Carré a.k.a. SKYGGE and François Pachet. The latter is a leading expert on the application of Artificial Intelligence in the world of popular music. Whilst Benoit Carré makes songs for French stars like Françoise Hardy, Johnny Halliday and Imany, as well as produces his own music.
‘Hello Shadow’ is the first insight to the new album from the innovative SKYGGE who are establishing a benchmark for a unique sound. It promises to be a very exciting time indeed.
