Raw Emotion From Riley Pearce With 'Misplaced'

Young Australian singer-songwriter Riley Pearce has released a brand new single, ‘Misplaced’ and I dare you to try and listen to it with dry eyes – not because it’s sad but because it’s  beautifully melodic. Pearce’s soulful voice sounds like a man far older than his years and carries his latest single from start to finish along with the clever use of percussion and brass which elegantly lifts ‘Misplaced’ to another level.
Riley's indie, folky style has been compared to hugely successful artists such as Bon Iver and Ben Howard, so it should come as no surprise that he has already won a WA Song of the Year Award and his new song ‘Misplaced’ does not fall short of his previous success. The still unsigned 24-year-old confesses his music is like, “breakup songs but for couples on a date…”, showing that he can blend the perfect mix of Raw Emotion through his music.
Riley Pearce has already accumulated a 4.3 thousand fan base on Spotify with his incredibly pensive and emotionally driven songs which will make you think you’re the leading role in the latest romance film.
The hugely successful 2016 EP ‘Outside the Lines’ is available now and Riley is planning to release his next EP in 2018. Now, at this point, I would say tickets to his tour are out now, but unless you’re planning on jetting off to Australia this October you may find getting to this gig slightly more expensive than popping down to see him in London. However, he is an extremely talented, up and coming artist who will no doubt be gracing our shores again very soon.
