Take The Midnight Train With Alt-Pop Duo Heathers

Dublin twin sisters Ellie and Louise Macnamara make up alt-pop duo Heathers who have released another great song 'Midnight Train on their ascent to success. The single beautifully showcases both Ellie and Louise’s vocals, signature harmonies and also displays the incredible guitar work of Louise.
'Midnight Train' is the product of producer Liam Howe who has worked with big names such as Lana Del Rey and Marina & The Diamonds. 'Midnight Train' has the ghostly chilling vibe to it that could fill a concert hall and still emanate the stunning raw talent of the two girls’ voices. It reminds me of the song 'Shades of Cool' that was recorded by Lana Del Rey for her album 'Born To Die'.
'Midnight Train' is about hanging onto hope with one person and the dreams that are constructed when you fall in love with someone and want to be with them. The lyrics, “I’m holding onto the nights when we were young, riding on the midnight train back to where it all began, standing on the outside looking in, living for the day that we fit in.” That pure desperation that we are all familiar with in normal society in relation to love and lust.
'Midnight Train' has gained much success even after Heathers' winning singles 'Call Home' and 'November' and the release of their second album 'Kingdom' which did, in fact, get the Irish Choice Music award. Their lead single 'Forget Me Knots' was an absolute hit in the US, Canada and Germany which eventually lead to extensive touring and even Heathers' first Asian tour which took place in Malaysia.
