We're still hooked on 'Wild Eyes' by US collective, Ruff Terrain, and now they have dropped another summery banger.
'M.Y.M.' (Make You Mine) produced and performed by Khaje features the silky vocals of R.E.L. and is a catchy bright spark of a Dance Floor track. Khaje is a Jamaican-born, New York Based Producer/DJ, who is Co-founder of Ruff Terrain and half of EDM duo VOX'M.Y.M.' creeps along nicely then the beat really kicks in and has a tropical island feel which is aesthetically pleasing. Production is smooth and various textures align with a glossy sheen of Soulful RnB, moody Dancehall and Afro-beats and even a delicate flute at the end which adds another layer. Vocals from Khaje and R.E.L. grind against each other in a sensual dance.
It is a simple story about love and most importantly dancing. Khaje sings, "Girl I wanna make you mine, make you mine, mine, I don't wanna waste no time, no time, no time baby, Girl, I wanna make you mine, you know I love it when I see you wind."
'M.Y.M.' is a radio-friendly, memorable track and absolutely perfect for those impromptu summer parties we'll all be enjoying this weekend.
