Donkong didn't just slide onto the scene quietly, they bombarded it back in 2012 with their inimitable sound and distinct musical personalities. Thomas and Johannes were working with other renowned German artists such as Xavier Naidoo and on Casper's 'XOXO' respectively until they joined forces through their shared love of Dance and electronic music and the conception of Donkong began.

Early releases 'Jawz' and 'Turn It Up' wowed critics and pushed buttons and Donkong's unique sound and fusion of Genres was coined "Molly Grit." 'Focus EP' was released in 2014 and dancehall and trap remixes followed for acts including Major Lazer, Krafty Kuts, Hudson Mohawke and TNGHT. The duo keeps pushing the boundaries with their brazen, euphoric production style.

And now here they are with their 'No Boy EP' featuring two sizzling summer tracks. 'No Boy' ft. Agent Lexie & Zorro is so eclectic it could be five different songs fused together. A plethora of genres, it's got the full five-course tasting menu. It will make you want to get up on your feet, get sweaty and dance like there is no one watching. The mood shifts imperceptibly as you roll on to the next track, 'Ammunition' ft. Feral Is Kinky, but it won't make you feel any less energetic. This track is grounded in jungle and no less triumphant than 'No Boy' it will still get your blood pumping. Underpinning the punchy patois is a beat infused with a tropical island feel and a glossy sheen of pop and bass.

Donkong have the extraordinary talent to fuse genres that are no way related but are seamless in their entirety. Their latest project is a fizzy bottle of vibrancy. Shake it up and it will explode and light up any dance floor this summer.
