Ah yes, yet another animated video lands in my inbox. Atlanta-based Manchester Orchestra have announced they’ll be releasing a new album next month. To preview the upcoming collection of tracks, the Southern indie band have revealed the album’s first single, ‘The Gold’. The accompanying promo, directed by Mike Dempsey and Johnny Chew, is an evocative collage of images and animations put together to reflect the at times aggressive guitars, at times anthemic feel of the single. Watch the promo video for ‘The Gold’ below. Manchester Orchestra’s fifth studio LP, called ‘A Black Mile to the Surface’, will be released on the 28th of July on Loma Vista Recordings.
