| There are several ways to enjoy Wintergrass. This is your secret decoder ring to the Wintergrass lexicon of tickets and registration types. Weekend Pass – If Wintergrass happened in France this would need no explanation. A Wintergrass weekend starts on Thursday and goes through Sunday. So your Weekend Pass is good for all four days of the festival and includes access to all shows on all stages, dances and festival workshops. Every stage has a general seating section – for the most part ALL seating is general at every stage. Exceptions explained below. Single Day Ticket – Just what it sounds like. This ticket gives you access to all shows on all stages, dances and festival workshops for the day of purchase. So, if you buy a Thursday only ticket, you have access to all of the aforementioned things on Thursday only. Single Show Ticket – This is new. This ticket gives you access to one show and one show only at the new Westin Grand Ballroom stage. These tickets are available on Friday and Saturday nights ONLY for shows at the Westin. People who have a weekend pass or a single day ticket do have access to these shows. But half the room will be set aside for folks who just want to attend one show. However, (are you taking notes?) if all the seats in the single show section do not sell they will become available to weekend pass and single day ticket holders. If you have a weekend pass or a single day ticket you do not have to buy one of these tickets. If you are a huge fan of any one of the bands playing on Friday or Saturday at the Westin stage, you can buy a single show ticket in addition to whatever other kind of pass you have to be assured of a seat at this show. However, you don’t have to. All the bands playing at the Westin stage are also playing at one or more Hyatt stages.Whew. What’s included in a Weekend or Single Day Pass?All shows on all stages, all dances, all festival workshops. What is NOT included in a Weekend or Single Day Pass?Intensives, The Never Too Late Academy for Adults, The Youth Academy,MOX, The Youth Orchestra Gathering.All of these programs do require additional registration.All of these programs also offer generous scholarships.The only seats that can be considered Reserved Seats are Single Show tickets for shows at the Westin on Friday and Saturday nights. (All shows at the Westin on Thursday are open to all weekend and single day pass holders.) Parents and Grandparents! Take a gander at the newly fluffed up Youth Education options. There are a bunch and they are cool. You don’t know which Lego set to buy anyway so put an instrument in the hands of your progeny and keep music alive. You will definitely get the ‘cool grandparent’ designation. |
