AmiRimA was born in Los Angeles, California, on September 24, 1979. The Crossroads High School Class of 1997 diploma was officially awarded to him on June 1. He attended Santa Monica College for 30-semester units before being admitted to the Maharishi University of Management (where he is now studying the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi method). In his teens, he began penning verse, and by the time he was 19, he had his first poem published in Howard Ely’s anthology, Colors of Life. Next, he was included in the following year’s edition of Mr. Ely’s The International Who’s Who in Poetry.

Previous work and Achievements

AmiRimA ‘s passion for music was sparked by Tears 4 Fears and their smash single “Shout,” The band has remained a favorite of his ever since. A while later, the rap group RUN DMC piqued his interest in lyrical creation. Rapping in karaoke bars led naturally to his covering popular hip-hop songs, which he did by first listening to the originals and then creating his own words to those tunes. He achieved this by learning the music and composing his lyrics to fit the tunes.

In 2008, he began self-publishing the four books that would make up his poetry tetralogy Life Lines; the first appeared in 2009, the second in 2010, the third in 2011, and the fourth in 2019.
