Lotus released race-only version of Exige Sport 380 that laps their corporate backyard Hathel racetrack 1.5 seconds faster than Exige Cup R. Power and torque stay the same as with road-legal version, but due to weight cut of 68 kg and incredible increase of down-force from 140 kg to 240 kg, Lotux Exige Race 380 reaches 60 mph 0.3 seconds faster and performs better on the curves.
