This concours-style restoration of the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible rolling in period-correct white wall tyres comes fitted with an operational and rare rain-sensing powered convertible soft top. For a car from the 1950s, this was a technology light years ahead of its time. According to the Chevrolet brochure, “Owners of Convertibles can now park with the top down and not have to worry about the inside of the car getting wet when unattended. The first drop of moisture from a sudden rain automatically causes the top to be raised.” More
