Part 1 of our look at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion

It is one of the most anticipated weeks of the year for car enthusiasts, automakers, sponsors and local Monterey businesses. WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and Monterey Car Week made Corvette legend Ron Fellows as the Grand Marshal for the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion

With a special edition Corvette named after him, Fellows can also count 27 wins, three American Le Mans Series championships, two wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and four consecutive years as the “Most Popular Driver” from ALMS fans to his record. Arguably one of North America’s most versatile and successful road racing drivers, Ron Fellows was inducted into the Corvette Hall of Fame in 2011, the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2012 and was called to the Order of Canada in 2020.

“I’m excited to make it back out to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Corvette,” said Fellows. “This will be my fourth time visiting the historic races and it’s never a bad trip to be on the spectacular Monterey Peninsula.” Fellows will be giving out the Awards on Saturday including the coveted Spirit of Monterey and the famed John Fitch Award. “I’m honored at the opportunity to be named Grand Marshal and will cross my fingers I have an opportunity to get behind a wheel of one of the cars on track.”
