#4: George Russell

You'll likely see this name on the Grid many times this year, but few are going to be less deserving. From 20th on the grid to a provisional 12th is fantastic at a tricky race. Even with DNF's accounted for, it's likely he would have passed Magnussen and possibly even Hulkenburg, landing him 14th at worst. (When accounting for punctures as well). That's a 6-place grid jump, including a 3 spot leapfrog of his teammate. Wow.

#3: Pierre Gasly

Man, this time last year, many people up and down the paddock must have thought Gasly was finished. His confidence was shot, having just returned back to the team he graduated from 6 months earlier. Getting lapped by his teammate, winning 0 qualifying battles etc. You know the story. But he has to be up there for the redemption story of the year this campaign. Discounting Albon's self-inflicted penalty, Gasly still drove well enough to earn that rival victory over Alex in the race. As mentioned in last night's key grid match-ups, this did end up being one of the key battles of the race.

#2: Daniel Ricciardo

Good race for the badger. Not much to say other than avoiding Grosjean was key, and much harder than it must have looked. Although, every Driver does dererve credit for that.

#1: Charles Leclerc

With a machine in the bracket of Renault more than Merc or Red Bull, it is inspiring for the future of F1 that a driver can make strides forward like this. With Seb in shambles battling the car to the very end, Charles' finishing in the top three seems rightfully unexpected. Man, this guy is a talent. Likely not his last netry here, but a deserved #1 for the weekend.
