NCT Motorcycles BMW R100 RT Black Stallion

Over the past year or so, if you have not heard the name Nct Motorcycles, you probably live under a rock. The crew of NCT Motorcycles hailing out of Austria, David Widmann, Kurt Kosjek and Manuel Tilke have taken the motorcycle scene by storm with there incredible builds. Their builds which are mostly BMW’s with a few Honda’s thrown in there are simply amazing. One of their newest builds a BMW R100 Cafe Racer named Black Stallion #28 is no exception.

To start with, the team at NCT completely stripped down the engine, rebuilding just about every part of it.  This included new pistons, camshafts, crank and much more.  Helping this beast breathe, is a one off custom trick exhaust system.  We love how the Akrapovic muffler exits under the rear section.  Additionally, a set of aluminum velocity stacks were added in place of the OEM airbox.  Finally, they finished the engine off with some new paint in a two tone theme that accents the stainless headers.

What good are all the engine upgrades if the bike can’t handle well.  Well NCT solved that problem.  Up front is a set of inverted USD forks from a Ducati 900SS with Brembo calipers and rotors.  In the rear is a new Ohlins shock with remote reservoir.  All these upgrades help it stick to the road while being able to stop when ripping down the road at open throttle.

For the rider, NCT went with a custom setup of triple clamps that hold the beautiful Motogadget Motoscope Pro digital speedo.  All the switches, headlight and speedo are wired to the Motogadget M-Unit.  If you have never heard of the M-Unit, be sure to go check it out.  One must have product for all custom bike builders.  The controls are all bare bones and just the minimal needs to ride thing awesome machine.

OUt of all the BMW R100 builds we have seen lately, this is probably one of our top picks.  Simple yet aggressive styling with performance to match is what we see here.  If you haven’t already, be sure to go checkout NCT’s website and follow them on social media.  You will be waiting to see what they pump out of their shop in Austria.
