It’s that time of the year again: Valentine’s Day when we celebrate our significant others, loved ones, and families. It’s also Heart Month! Since Love is such a major theme of this holiday and of this time of year, we’ve put together a list of eight songs – some older, some newer – that will help you think on your relationships and the people you hold dearest.

Written in the summer of 1963 by Jeff Barry, Ellie Greenwich and Phil Spector, this became a world classic as performed by The Ronettes. Love line: The night we met I knew I needed you so, and if I had the chance I’d never let you go.
Don’t Let Me Down – The Chainsmokers and Daya
Released in February 2016, writers Andrew Taggart, Emily Warren and Scott Harris teed up The Chainsmokers and Daya for what became one of the decade’s most played songs. Love line: It’s in my head, darling I hope that you’ll be here when I need you the most.
You Give Love a Bad Name – Bon Jovi
This single from Bon Jovi’s third studio album, Slippery When Wet, remains an iconic angst-filled love song. Love line: Chains of love got a hold on me. When passion’s a prison, you can’t break free.
Last Thing I Needed First Thing This Morning – WIllie Nelson
Written by Gary P. Nunn and Donna Farar in 1982, this was recorded and released as a Willie Nelson track and has since melted hearts worldwide. Love line: But the last thing I needed the first thing this morning, was to have you walk out on me.
Picture – Kid Rock, Sheryl Crow
Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow teamed up to write and perform what would become one of the most recognizable and successful country songs of the 2000’s. Love line: I found your picture today, I swear I’ll change my ways. I just called to say I want you to come back home.
Achy Breaky Heart – Billy Ray Cyrus
With the writing of Don Von Tress and the vocals of Billy Ray Cyrus, this early 1990’s honky tonk is the epitome of a love song. Love line: Don’t tell my heart, my achy breaky heart. I just don’t think he’d understand.
Hungry Heart – Bruce Springsteen
As part of his fifth studio album, The River, Bruce Springsteen wrote and recorded this eventual classic about people’s hunger for love. Love line: Lay down your money and you play your part, everybody’s got a hungry heart.
Isn’t She Lovely – Stevie Wonder
This 1976 smash hit from Stevie Wonder is all about love – not for one’s partner, but for one’s daughter. It has since become a staple in father-daughter wedding dances everywhere. Love line: Londie, it could have not been done without you, who conceived the one that’s so very lovely made from love.
