How to Raise Testosterone Levels Naturally When You Have “Low T”

When You Have Low Testosterone…

Hearing someone mention symptoms of low T is enough to make any man cringe. Low Testosterone symptoms can range from the unnoticeable to things that can really shock you. They include dreaded conditions such as “man boobs”, low libido and shrinking testicles. You’ll soon discover how you can raise testosterone levels naturally and safely.

It’s true that low T can shrivel your testes and cause other symptoms that can make you feel less of a man. However, you’re not without options.

How Testosterone Makes You a Man

Testosterone is the best-known male sex hormone or androgen. It changes your body at puberty, fuels your sex drive and increases your muscle size. You can’t build muscle without it. It even makes your penis grow bigger and gives you the famous “morning wood”.

Most of your testosterone is made by your testicles but a tiny amount also comes from your adrenal glands. When your testosterone becomes low, your pituitary gland releases luteinizing hormone which signals the testicles to produce more of your manliest hormone.

When you’re a boy, your testosterone will be low. It’s when you reach your teens that you go through puberty and your body goes through some changes. Your voice will become deeper and you’ll notice the appearance of body hair and the awakening of sexual interest.

Symptoms of Low Testosterone Levels

Although it won’t be the same for every man, testosterone levels seem to taper off after the age of 40, generally around 10% decline every decade. Your symptoms may gradually become worse unless you take action to minimize this possibility:

  • “Man boobs”
  • Diminished sex drive
  • Erection problems
  • Loss of muscle
  • Smaller testicles
  • Loss of bone mass (danger of osteoporosis)

This is just the shortlist. Testosterone also affects your moods and your relationships with others. Low testosterone can lead to depression and a lack of self-esteem.

When You Have Been Diagnosed With Low T

Testosterone is not always freely floating around in your blood. Most of it is bound to a hormone called sex-hormone-binding globulin (SHBG). The rest is known as “free testosterone”. When your free testosterone drops below a certain level, you could be flirting with low T.

A doctor would be able to determine your T-level by performing a blood test. He will probably do this in the morning, the time of day when testosterone levels tend to be the highest.

You have several options when it comes to fighting low testosterone. There are various forms of hormone replacement therapy (synthetic testosterone). Some can be taken as patches or gels, injections or tablets. However, many men are hesitant to accept these because of the negative side effects they can produce.

A much safer option to balance your hormones would be herbal testosterone support.
