5 Music Festivals I Want to Try in 2018: UK and Croatia

I know it’s freezing cold outside and everyone is (rightly so) on the Christmas hype right now, but I can’t help think about next summer’s Music festivals and it’s never too early to get planning right? I feel like this year festivals are announcing their tickets and line-ups early. All these early line-ups, along with me doing a recap of my 2017 music festivals, has got me looking ahead to Croatia and the UK for 2018 and purchasing tickets early, locking the dates in and getting prepared.

Below is my top choices for boutique gatherings in the UK and Croatia, which ones are on your list?

Sound City
Friday 4th – Sunday 6th May

@ Baltic Triangle and Cains Brewery, Liverpool
£55 for weekend wristband (Sound City + conference extra)

www.soundcity.uk.com / @soundcity / Insta:  @liverpoolsoundcity

First ten artists revealed: First names released: Peace, Slow Readers Club, Ibibio Sound Machine, Baxter Dury, Idles, Jaws, Low Island, Cassia, The Orielles and Zuzu with many more to come

Sound City, the latest edition of the award-winning metropolitan festival of live music and arts, takes place on the 5th and 6th May 2018 to kick-start the UK season in style as it returns to the city’s centre and goes back to its roots.

Sound City is incredibly proud it will be taking over the iconic warehouses, intimate spaces and pop-up places which form the renascent Baltic Triangle and Cains Brewery areas of the city. The weekend will offer an incredible chance to discover over 250 emerging new bands and headline artists in a variety of locations which will place Sound City at the beating heart of the country’s vibrant music scene. Sound City’s original DNA will once more embrace a wildly diverse range of sounds from around the world and closer to home, showcasing the vibrant and raw next generation of acts through to the mercurial stars who inspire them.

The Baltic Triangle is the catalyst for much of Liverpool’s creative and economic growth, now firmly established as one of the UK’s leading destinations for music, food and drink and a new wave of pioneering businesses, right at the fore of the region’s cultural development. Sound City will further enhance the area’s development, working with key partners during the festival as well as the Sound City + conference taking place on Friday 4th May.
