Nike Launches New Global Football–Inspired Workouts on NTC App and Netflix

  • Ahead of global football’s pinnacle summer event, Nike is launching new workouts featuring some of the most decorated players in the sport.
  • The workouts pair elite Nike global football athletes — including Debinha (BRA), Lucy Bronze (ENG), Asisat Oshoala (NGA), Grace Geyoro (FRA) and Sophia Smith (USA) — with expert Nike Well Collective trainers and focus on a range of key athletic modalities, such as full-body strength training, conditioning and mobility.
  • Nike Members will have access to the new workouts July 18 on the Nike Training Club app (NTC). The content will also be available to stream on Netflix July 26 as part of Nike’s partnership, which launched in December.

In celebration of the world’s best female footballers as they prepare to take the pitch on the greatest global stage, Nike created five new workouts that pair some of the most decorated Nike women’s football athletes with an expert selection of international Nike Well Collective trainers.

The new workouts are part of Nike’s focus on expanding access to sport for all athletes and empowering people through movement.

The workouts, all between 10 to 15 minutes long and available in 11 languages, will be on the Nike Training Club app (NTC) July 18 and on Netflix July 26. Each workout was designed to be both authentic to how the world’s elite footballers prepare to perform and feel their best, and accessible and supportive to all athletes and ability levels.

The Athletes, Trainers and Workouts

Nike Well Collective trainer and New Zealand native Kirsty Godso partners with Team USA’s Sophia Smith — reigning U.S. Soccer Player of the Year and National Women’s Soccer League MVP — on a workout that targets full-body conditioning with a sharp focus on unilateral strength. Kirsty has also created a workout with Brazilian star forward Debinha that’s focused on developing a stronger core by targeting the hips, back and abs and improving stabilization and mobility.

Courtney Fearon, a Nike Well Collective trainer from the United Kingdom, trains with Lucy Bronze, the most decorated England player of all time in the European Cup, in a full-body mobility and recovery workout that focuses on the hips, spine and feet and helps provide relief for common tension areas in footballers and everyday athletes alike. In Fearon’s workout with five-time African Player of the Year Asisat Oshoala, from Nigeria, the duo focuses on functional resistance training to improve muscular endurance in the glutes and legs.

Finally, in a workout filmed entirely in French (and available in 10 other languages), Nike Well Collective trainer Edwige Ahonto pairs with dynamic powerhouse and France midfielder Grace Geyoro to focus on developing full-body strength, particularly for those who tend to deprioritize upper-body training.

Since Nike launched a partnership with Netflix in December 2022, Netflix’s more than 223 million worldwide members have had access to a custom collection of NTC programs that cater to all fitness levels; require minimal to no equipment; and span yoga, strength and mobility training, and high-intensity workouts.
