Reminiscent of the recently dropped Supreme edition, the Nike SB Gato Shoes have arrived in a daring University Red colourway. Using a combination of leather and textile for the upper, the style uses white detailing on the tongue and heel – through a Nike spellout – to cut through the vivid upper. The lateral sides are adorned with a crisp white leather swoosh and small branded flag label and the midsole uses a combination of white and gum brown to harmonise the colours on the upper.

The upper is built almost entirely of “University Red” mesh with leather panelling across the whole shoe sans collar, while the toe caps add in a hint of suede for a more varied textured look. Adorning the predominantly monotone upper are white Swooshes, a tongue tag, and Nike branding by the heel, giving a clean splash of contrast. The upper then sits on a white cushion-foam midsole wrapped in a gum-rubber outsole, finished with a geometric hexagonal tread.

The Nike SB Gato “University Red/White-Gum” is now available at select skate shops and retailers such as Premier at a price of $85 USD.
