Feb 23, Choosing the Right Actions to Obtain the Health Goal You Desire

Avoiding diabetes or making the right choices to assure a healthy old age are both a long-term process of making many of the right decisions over a period of many years. Unfortunately, there are many elements of our modern, instant-gratification social conditioning that work to trap us into making bad decisions that set us up for bad Health.
Doing the right thing requires us to focus on doing what is in our long-term best interest, even though every influence around us is screaming for us to "Go for the Gusto!" and eat that piece of cheesecake or drink that energy drink.
I broke down yesterday and had two tiny squares of 88% cocoa-content chocolate, then later had maybe a half serving of the ACT Energy Drink, which has the lowest sugar content of any around. And, it helped for a little while...and then let me down hard. Not worth it!
I feel and perform much better with no sugar at all, except the occasional apple (one of the low-glycemic fruits). I used to drink energy drinks every day, but now I see the glaring side-effects that I ignored because I felt there was no suitable alternative. I just didn't know about the benefits of kratom for me, a pre-diabetic.
It's up to you. You are creating your own future. Are you reading the right blueprint for creating the life you wish to live? Keep in mind that many of the voices in media have a financial incentive to urge you to do exactly the wrong thing.
Are you wise enough to see through their deceptions? I hope, for your sake, that you will choose the actions that will bring you long-term health.
