As one of the most recognizable faces in showbiz, Heather Locklear has long been an inspiration to many. Her career has been one of many successes, and she’s seen by many as an icon. At present, though, the tumultuous life of the star has led to her checking into rehabilitation. Voluntarily agreeing to the rehab program, she checked herself into a long-term drug rehab center for help after suffering from substance abuse and Mental Health problems.

In late June, she spent a week in a psychiatric ward. Locklear, 56, has undergone some significant challenges recently. She was arrested in June for downing a bottle of tequila and then crashing her Porsche car at her mansion in California. When officers arrived on the scene to assist, they were met with hostility and ill-will. As such, Locklear was arrested and taken into custody.

Arrested by the cops on battery charges, she was later released. Unfortunately, her drama was not over: the “Melrose Place” star was then rushed into hospital for what reports claim was an overdose of some kinds. Since then, news has been quiet about what comes next for the star, who has undergone a challenging time of late.

Involuntarily held in hospital, medical professionals believed that she was suffering from a mental health episode and thus decided to undergo a psych evaluation of her. In fact, a week before this took place, the police were called on Locklear after she had threatened to find a firearm and kill herself, before bursting into a violent attack and trying to choke her own mother.

We wish Heather all the best, and pray that her recovery can come soon enough. Many celebrity stars suffer from the fame and the stress of living life in such a manner, and we hope that she can find solace from her demons.
