Share Our AACE Journey for Patients With Obesity

As you know, obesity is a complex disease, and many patients struggle with the dizzying array of information online from countless websites that are inaccurate and unhelpful.

Great news: The endocrine experts at AACE have created the AACE Journey for Patients With Obesity.

This incredible new resource is derived from the AACE 2023 Obesity Stigma and Bias Consensus Statement and the AACE 2016 Clinical Practice Guideline and Algorithm for Medical Care of Patients With Obesity to ensure clinical accuracy. It was also reviewed by the Obesity Action Coalition, a leading patient advocacy organization.

Provide your patients with a reliable roadmap of the latest obesity information and resources they need by pointing them to the AACE Journey for Patients With Obesity.

New Resources to Help You Be A Vaccine Champion

We've added new resources to our vaccine page to help you be a vaccine champion! Encourage your patients to receive COVID-19, flu and other routine vaccinations, then use our helpful coding toolkit to ensure vaccine-related services are billed and coded perfectly for your practice.

This coding toolkit is a supplement to AACE’s webinar, Billing and Coding for Vaccination-Related Services for Patients with Diabetes. In the webinar, AACE leader Dr. Ricardo Correa and coding expert Cindy Hughes share coding rules, tips, and cases to help you make changes in your coding practices.

Also, please note that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently updated its guidance on coverage requirements for Medicaid, Medicare Part B, and Medicare Part D.

AACE, with support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Council of Medical Specialty Societies, is working to increase recommended vaccinations among persons with diabetes.
