New! — AACE Journey for Patients with Obesity

As you know, obesity is a complex disease, and many patients struggle with the dizzying array of information online from countless websites that are inaccurate and unhelpful.

Great news: The endocrine experts at AACE have created the AACE Journey for Patients with Obesity.

This incredible new resource is derived from the AACE 2023 Obesity Stigma and Bias Consensus Statement and the AACE 2016 Clinical Practice Guideline and Algorithm for Medical Care of Patients with Obesity to ensure clinical accuracy. It was also reviewed by the Obesity Action Coalition, a leading patient advocacy organization.

The AACE Journey for Patients with Obesity will provide your patients with:

  • Accurate, science-based information about obesity that is presented in a very “patient-friendly,” common-language manner
  • Answers to questions about obesity diagnosis, screening, and treatment options
  • A truly trustworthy resource you can share with them

Give your patients the reliable obesity resource they need by pointing them to the AACE Journey for Patients with Obesity.

Exciting News from AACE's Endocrine Practice Journal

Breaking News! — The Journal Impact Factor for our official peer-reviewed journal Endocrine Practice has increased to 4.2 this year, climbing more than 30 places, and ranking 51 out of 145 journals in the subject category, "Endocrinology & Metabolism!" The Impact Factor measures the average number of citations received in a particular year by papers published in the journal during the two preceding years. Thank you to all of our authors, reviewers, and editorial board members for your hard work, which contributed to this success. Let's keep climbing — submit your research and reviews to Endocrine Practice, the clinical journal for endocrinologists and the endocrine health care community.

Become a Vaccine Champion

As an endocrine care professional, your guidance is trusted by your patients with diabetes. That means you can become a vaccine champion by encouraging your patients to receive COVID-19, flu and other routine vaccinations!

AACE, with support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Council of Medical Specialty Societies, is working to increase recommended vaccinations among adults with diabetes.

We’re calling for vaccine champions to do the following:

  • Access and share a variety of resources from AACE to help encourage your patients with diabetes to stay up to date with vaccinations
  • Take the four steps to make immunization a standard of patient care in your practice: Access, Recommend, Administer or Refer, and Document
  • Encourage your fellow team members to become vaccine champions
