My National Institutes Of Health Medical CountDown Begins

My National Institutes Of Health medical countdown begins. Fingers crossed I will begin my first day of testing Monday morning.

For those of you that are not familiar with my HypoGal’s chronic illness medical journey; I have Relapsing Polychrondritis, Sheehan’s Syndrome and gambit of other serious medical conditions.

You can also read about the function of National Institutes of Health on my HypoGal Blog Post, The National Institutes of Health Wants Me.

I am fortunately to have found a research program at the NIH that wants my data and is willing to provide a wide array of the world’s best medical experts, testing equipment and treatment program.

What Does This National Institutes Of Health Mean To Me?

The National Institutes Of Health will offer me a new treatment plan that will place my Relapsing Polychondritis into remission.

The treatment plan most likely will be better than my current Relapsing Polychrondritis medical regime.

I will not be trying any experimental medications just medications that may help halt this cartilage eating disease.

Yes, Relapsing Polychrondritis attacks and destroys the cartilage in your body. Once the cartilage is gone, it is gone forever.

Cartilage is essential to living. Our bodies have cartilage around the;

  • Heart
  • Joints
  • Skin
  • Throat
  • Behind the eyes

When my Relapsing Polychondritis flares I can literally feel my body being eaten alive.

The affected area of cartilage burns with pain, the pain is often so unbearable that it causes me to drop to my knees.

My body feels like it is inside a high simmering crock pot.

The burning sensation causes my body to retreat into a fatigue state. When I have an RP flare I can barely get off the couch for days.

My world of Relapsing Polychrondritis flares brings my quality of life to a shut-in status level. My shut in days, weeks have taught me how to master the television.

If you are looking for some new shows, series or movies to watch then you may find my HypoGal Best Shows And Movies useful.

As my week unfolds I plan to blog a few updates, until then.
