In part one of our blog series The Hidden Problem of Mental Health Distress in Employees we discussed how the recent “Employee Mental Health and Wellbeing Checkup” Survey from July 2021 found that a majority of employees in the United States suffer from symptoms consistent with anxiety, depression, or other mental distress.  This survey, with a margin of error of 2.16%, evaluated 2,141 individuals based on a PHQ-4 assessment to identify their level and/or category of mental distress while considering their job performance. The survey population was consistent with the US Census for age, gender, and geography.
