Botox
Botox has now been used for more than 10 years for cosmetic purposes.  It has a proven safety record that is unrivaled.  A purified protein, Botox is used to relax the muscles of facial expression that cause wrinkles.  It takes 1-2 days to see some effect and 1-2 weeks to see full effect.  The effects of Botox last for 3-4 months and must be repeated for continued effect.
The Scrotum.
As most of us know, the scrotum is the sac of skin that contains the testicles in men.  The scrotum is actually more complex than just skin.  A thin muscle, the cremasteric muscle surrounds each sac.  The purpose of this muscle is to retract the testicles to regulate their temperature as well as protect them from injury.  The control of this muscle is involuntary.  The contraction of this muscle can cause the scrotum to be wrinkled, smaller and occasionally can cause pain in some men.
Botox in Scrotum or Scrotox.
Some men suffer problems with their scrotum.  They can have excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis, and chronic pain when the cremasteric muscle is contracted.  Other men seek to have a larger, more sensitive scrotum.

Botox in scrotum or scrotox, is used the same way as to relax the muscles of facial expression.  A topical anesthetic is applied to the scrotal skin.  A very small needle is then used to make multiple injections in the scrotal skin.  Over the next several weeks the Botox will relax the cremasteric muscles and reduce sweating of the scrotal skin.  Relaxing the cremasteric muscle causes the scrotal skin to be smoother and will make the scrotum appear to be larger.  Some men report that their scrotum is more sensitive during sexual intercourse.
Botox Scrotum Side Effects.
Just like Botox used elsewhere, Botox in the scrotum is very safe.  There will be mild pain with the Botox injections but this will be minimized with topical anesthesia and small needles.  The cremasteric muscles do help to regulate the temperature of the testicles to promote sperm production.  As a result, Scrotal Botox is not recommended in men trying to have children.  It is also possible that by relaxing the cremasteric muscle, the testicles may be more prone to trauma.  Men should wear appropriate safety gear after having Botox in the scrotum and exposing themselves to possible injury.
