Oct 23, New Review of SSRI Drugs Shows They Do Little Good

A new review of the largest, most-expensive Study ever done to determine how much benefit there is in taking SSRI drugs, the STAR*D study, is showing very small improvement in depression symptoms -- and plenty of the usual habituation and dangerous side-effects (including withdrawal).
Not surprisingly, this new unfavorable study was published in a small, obscure medical journal where few practitioners are likely to see it. Such is the power of the pharmaceutical industry, where bad news about their products is not welcomed.
You can read a very informative article about this new study HERE.
Antidepressants are some of the most widely prescribed drugs -- and there's no doubt that they produce an effect (of increasing temporarily serotonin levels in the nerve synapses), but, do they do this in a healthy way that actually addresses the underlying cause of depression?
The videos contained in the link above answer this question, while also suggesting healthier, inexpensive natural supplements that provide our body more of the raw materials to make more serotonin.
Ironically, many Americans are reporting beneficial effects from their use of this natural herb: Kratom. Read HERE about the extensive product testing that sets this vendor apart.
