I haven't kept up with the developments in the rebirth of the historic U.S. hemp industry, but I am a confirmed fan of the essential ingredient behind it, CBD or cannabidiol. I've found CBD very useful in paste form, as Cbd Oil, and as water-soluble CBD oil in helping me sleep soundly and restoring a more youthful positive outlook on life when I awake.
Last night, I got a chance to try the latest iteration on CBD delivery mechanisms -- rolling it up in a joint and smoking it.
I wasn't sure if I could trust the assertions that this was just CBD, with no THC. (I am not a fan, currently, of the popular hybrid cloned sinsemilla hyper-THC strains, but everyone is welcome to "what floats their boat.") I was expecting some degree of THC activity from the seedless buds I was sent, but I only got a comfortable relaxation.
I am able to buy legal low-THC/high CBD seedless at one of our local dispensaries. I occasionally eat a tiny bit of it, but smoking the stuff is not something I have tried... until last night.
So, I cautiously smoked some of the dense buds rolled in a joint and quickly got the very relaxed but alert feeling, as I usually get from the water soluble CBD oil. This was on only two drags -- and no hint of THC activity.
The best part was that I slept for a solid 7+ hrs and woke feeling good. I do believe there may be some lingering pain relief involved here. I'm not feeling the usual kinks in my back that only go away after some stretches and a hot shower, so this is promising.
