Aug 8, Herbs Are a Divine Gift

Over the centuries, many Herbs have been found useful for treating the symptoms of diabetes and many other conditions. Traditional use of herbs developed as a shared body of information because the herbs actually produced a benefit for the recipient. Even in pre-literate cultures, it is reasonable to believe that herbalists took pride and were careful to share an accurate description of what a particular herb could do for their patient. After all, the medicine-giver's reputation was at stake.
True, some herbs are not healthful, and this information was no doubt passed on in the case of poisonous or otherwise damaging herbs. Wise individuals do their research before taking an herb -- and, by definition, the wise avoid taking advice from fools or those who have a self-serving agenda.
After thousands of years of using herbal and mineral preparations for our health needs, as advised by sacred texts of most religions and philosophies, a new school of medical thought took over the practice of medicine -- a form of medicine based on synthetic, single-ingredient chemicals that could be patented. Backed by the richest industrialists of that era, this school of medicine essentially sought to monopolize the practice of medicine and drive herbal medicinal practices out of business. This attack on the users of natural herbs, supplemental nutrients, and even natural food crops -- aided by complicit government agencies and the media -- continues to this day.
Now, when an herb such as kratom, kava, cannabis, or CBD is welcomed by consumers as a useful aid to support their natural sense of wellbeing, we see not only the FDA and CDC spreading inaccurate information about them, but we also may be seeing other vendors reporting their competitors to the social media in an effort to undercut their competition.
This is disturbing. It is bad enough that agencies of our government lie and try to suppress the free-market appeal of kratom, but when other kratom vendors aren't satisfied with competing on the basis of product quality, pricing, and service -- but must rely on turning in their competitors on some pretense to prevent them from advertising on social media -- that's a tactic reminiscent of the "Robber Barons" who created the powerful monopolistic pharmaceutical industry.
This seems a cowardly way to compete, if that's what it was. Bad business practices will be found out -- just as good quality products are discovered and shared through word-of-mouth. Especially when providing what many kratom consumers consider a "divine gift", it's wise to stay on the right side of natural laws, such as Karma -- "What goes around, comes around," and "As you sow, so shall you reap."
Kratom vendors need to work together to keep this herb legal. Employing strong-arm tactics to gain market share doesn't serve the consumer.
