Pain can be a great motivator -- or, it can be a cause of deep depression that keeps those who suffer to not do what it takes to find relief. Much depends on our attitude.
Pain can be physical or emotional. It can be a combination of both. What I strongly believe, as taught by Dr. Wallach, pain exists to alert us to something we are doing wrong. It is like the red warning light on your auto's dashboard that tells you something is wrong.
The problem that arises when we go to a doctor is that the doctor is limited in the way he or she is allowed to treat the pain. And this choice of treatments available is based on which treatments can run an expensive gauntlet of tests and experiments and become patented so that the company that paid for the expensive testing can recover their huge expense, which can run about $2.5 Billion.
This way of practicing medicine essentially excludes all natural substances, such as herbs like kratom in its natural form. It also leads most Medical Doctors to place little emphasis on natural nutrients, even though there is a lot of science showing our body needs certain known vitamins, minerals, etc., to function, grow, and maintain itself.
This lack of freedom to obtain qualified medical advice to use herbs, even when all approved medical treatments with pharmaceutical drugs and surgery have failed to provide quality relief, has created a crisis situation.
To my mind, it seems criminal for society to take the side of the pharmaceutical industry (as the FDA is doing) and try to deny those who have found a unique quality of relief from kratom the freedom to enjoy and possess this natural plant.
This battle for the right to use an herb is a big deal. It raises (in my mind, anyway) the question that perhaps we have so much lingering pain because we are saddled with a monopoly medical system that is not effectively addressing the cause of our many diseases, because treatments -- i.e., synthetic drugs -- don't satisfy our body's nutrient deficiencies. And treatments are more profitable than inexpensive natural nutrients or herbs.
So, my question for you is this: Are you going to allow yourself to be denied natural remedies, while you face a lifetime of increasing pain and disability so that a pharmaceutical industry can continue to enrich itself at your expense?
If suffering Americans are so poorly served by our medical system that many are turning to heroin to get relief, they need -- at the least -- to hear about kratom before it is denied to us all. If we allow the FDA to take kratom, they'll be coming for our Turmeric, Cat's Claw, and other supplements next.
We need to unite to demand our rights to our choice of medical care NOW, before the little natural relief we have is taken away.
