Jan 11, High-Dose Multivitamins vs. Statins in Reducing Post-Heart Attack Deaths

Researchers were dismayed when the results of recent study showed that high-dose multivitamin use is more effective than Statin Drugs at preventing further mortality after a first heart attack.
Heart attack is the number one killer of diabetics, so this should be of vital interest to my readers, as well as to the general American public. This is not merely a matter of luck.
I find this study important because 1) I believe, based on the work of Dr. Wallach, Linus Pauling, many other scientists, and my own experience, that quality high dose vitamin/mineral regimens are necessary in today's world for health and vitality; and 2) this study shows that the popular statin drugs cancel out the beneficial effects of vitamin supplementation, besides producing very little mortality reduction (and scary side-effects!)
As can be expected, the researchers couldn't believe the poor showing of the statin drugs and urged patients to wait for further studies before implementing any change in their drug or supplement regimen. (Obviously, this research wasn't funded by a vitamin manufacturer.)
When the truth comes out -- a truth that will discredit the lucrative prescribing of statin drugs -- they refuse to accept it. Not surprising at all, but very instructive!
In today's stress-filled, medically-challenging world, a diet of organic foods is not enough to counter all the threats we face -- and taking pharmaceutical drugs, which deplete the insufficient nutrients we do get from our food aren't the answer we need. We need to supplement with well-formulated multivitamin and mineral products to give our body what it needs to be healthy.
