One of the most important components of developing and maintaining a healthy, non-diabetic body is to incorporate regular Exercise into nearly every day. It could be a 3-mile jog every morning before work or it could be a brisk walk, bicycle ride, or weight-lifting routine. Keep it varied, do stretches and yoga before hand to limber up, but keep those muscles and organs in use.
