Jul 28, MDs Capitalize on Our Ignorance About Proper Diet

Too bad human babies don't come with a manual explaining what our proper Diet should be, although instinctively a child will figure it out. If given slices of fruit and a live bunny, the infant will eat the fruit and play with the rabbit or other furry mammal -- not vice versa.
Human adults are given free rein to eat all manner of delicious-smelling and tasting foods, though infused with impossible-to-digest transfats and rancid oils, pesticides and herbicide traces, etc. -- and all washed down with beverages and drugs that reduce vital stomach acidity in too many cases. Then, we wonder why we suffer what is called "acid reflux". We are misled by most allopathic physicians to blame our body, instead of our inappropriate diet.
I once knew a guy who was a telephone installer. He loved to eat "fast food" for lunch while working, but he then suffered from terrible reflux. In the dim past, I recall having similar problems. It comes from putting the wrong food, filled with hard-to-digest ingredients, into our system.
I look to the great apes for some clues to what our natural diet should be. They eat mostly plants, with occasional birds eggs they find and termites and other insects (I won't follow them there, but there are some general hints as to the proportion of animal-source foods we can eat.) The cooked-vs-raw issue is less important, but still significant.
Further bad clues have been received by MDs recommending a low-salt diet, as if salt causes high blood pressure. (Not true, say Dr. Wallach and other researchers.) We need salt in our diet to produce a healthy level of stomach acid, which paradoxically is needed to break down food in our stomach, so we can thoroughly absorb its nutrients, later in the small intestine.
Instead of commonsense fixes to the problem of indigestion and related issues like gallbladder stones, MDs are taught (with the smiling approval of Big Pharma) to encourage us to eat all sorts of hard-to-digest junk, then to assault the body further, profitably, with prescription drugs and gall bladder removal, which causes worse digestion, but sells new drugs to replace the bile that our gall bladder produced for free.
The proton pump inhibitor drugs (PPI's) have recently been found to increase the expected death rate by 50% for those who take them long-term! This is serious, but it's perfectly legal and FDA-approved.
My point is that, by giving us no good advice on what and how to eat, the drug industry, MD's, and hospitals profit wildly from our predictable subsequent dietary malfunctions.
I've found my body works amazingly well without medical "help" when I feed it what it is generally designed to consume. No risky drugs or surgery needed. I like it that way.
