Listed below is everything you need to know about removing skin tags with apple cider vinegar. We’ve put together a step by step guide as well and included a list of all the ingredients you need. 

Requirement: Mild anti-bacterial soap, lukewarm water, apple cider vinegar, cotton balls and a toothpick.

Step: 1 Wash the targeted area with a mild anti-bacterial soap and lukewarm water and then dry it thoroughly.

Step: 2 Gently scratch the skin tag with the toothpick to help with the absorption process. Make sure not to draw any blood doing this. It should just be a gentle scratch.

Step: 3 Pour a small amount of apple cider vinegar on a cotton ball. Just enough to wet it. Squeeze out any excess vinegar before application.

Step: 4 Place the cotton ball over the skin tag and leave it for a few hours or overnight by attaching it with a band-aid.

Step: 5 Before making the next application wash the area thoroughly to sterilize it. Repeat the process for about a week until the skin tag dries out and falls off.

Treatment times vary considerably

Not all apple cider vinegars are produced with the intention of treating skin tags. Therefore, it is better to choose a product that is unpasteurized and organic. The gentle nature of apple cider vinegar makes it suitable to leave on for long stretches. Try using it two to three times a day for better results.

We suggest to first experiment with the application time to see what suits your skin best. It is better to start off with a shorter amount of time and then build up gradually. In case of any itching or stinging, dilute the vinegar by mixing it with water. Although these are temporary side-effects which should only last for a couple of minutes after application. You can choose to reduce the application time in case of excess dryness.
