ExhibitorLIVE 2024 Recap: Artificial Intelligence is Knocking at the Door

Nashville, TN—ExhibitorLIVE took a leap and opened its doors for Artificial Intelligence. Whether it was welcomed in or barged in is a matter of debate among attendees as AI made itself at home in the exhibit hall and education sessions.

As the doors of the Gaylord Opryland swung open for ExhibitorLIVE 2024, it was clear that the question on everyone’s lips was not if AI would reshape our industry but how quickly and to what extent.

Skyline’s AI Experience

Skyline’s exhibit featured a personalized AI experience that allowed attendees to create custom portraits of themselves. Attendees were drawn to the promise of seeing themselves through the lens of AI, resulting in custom portraits that were as eerie as they were fascinating.

Educational Sessions: Exploring AI’s Relevance to Marketing

The heart of the event was in the educational sessions. Three dedicated workshops peeled back the layers of AI in marketing, covering ground from leveraging data analytics for customer insights to automating content creation and ideation.

Here’s a brief overview of each session on AI.

Session #1 Trade Show and Event Analytics Using AI

Led by Kalon Welch and Kevin Ruiz, attendees explored the innovative application of FastSensor’s AI and Machine Learning technologies in measuring engagement at global events, using Spiro’s brand, Bell Helicopter, as a case study.

The focus was on how AI-driven analytics can transform event measurement, offering insights into attendee behavior, optimizing engagement strategies during and after the event, and providing solid data to support and expand trade show budgets.

Session #2 The Amazing Impact of AI for Events and Exhibitions

Dahlia El Gazzar showcased how intelligent chatbots and smart analytics predict visitor preferences for more personalized interactions and streamlined operations.

Attendees gained insights into the wide array of AI-powered tools available for event management, learning practical applications to amplify engagement and simplify the complexities of event logistics, marking a significant leap towards more immersive and efficient event ecosystems.

Session #3 Elevating Marketing Efficiency: The Impact of AI-Powered Tools on Creative Productivity

Sierra Reed and I addressed the burgeoning role of generative AI in marketing, dispelling fears and illuminating the potential of AI to augment human creativity.

Through real-world examples, we demonstrated how AI tools are revolutionizing content creation, from enhancing written content to video editing and graphic design.

The discussion emphasized the balance between AI and human creativity, guiding the integration of AI tools into marketing workflows to boost productivity and innovation, thereby ushering in a new era of marketing efficiency.

Embracing or Bracing for AI?

Conversations throughout the event swung between excitement for the potential of AI to transform the exhibition industry and apprehension about what might be lost in this transition.

Whether AI was invited in or forced into our professional lives became a recurring theme, mirroring the broader societal debate about the role of technology.

What do you think the future of AI and events looks like?
