Learning in the Forest

For a while now, a pet project I’ve had in mind is the idea of an afternoon’s “Learning in the Forest”.

The concept was inspired by ‘Learning on the Beach’, which I stumbled across on a Florida business coaching website some time ago. I thought it sounded wonderful and, being incapable of providing a similarly guaranteed warm and sunny setting, I thought I’d go for a forest – especially one that could provide an inspiriting and simply lovely space.

Join us at Derreens Wood, aka Bluebell Wood, situated on the right hand side along the R285 towards Knockvicar, off the N4 between Boyle and Carrick on Shannon, on Wednesday, May 11th, from 2 to 5 pm.

Derreens Wood is situated on the R285 leading from the N4 towards Knockvicar village

The aim is to have a group of micro-enterprise owners and those working in on- and offline Marketing for other organisations discussing marketing strategy and actions and helping each other through experiences of what has (and, perhaps, not) worked for them.

We’ll share tips about strategy, target marketing, online marketing platforms, video marketing and more. Come with an open mind. Was it Barney that said “sharing is caring” …

Learning in the Forest – how to book

Tickets at Euro 10 pp, are available via the online Ticket selling platform, Eventbrite. Indeed, have you ever used it, or do you use another similar platform you prefer?

Half the ticket price will be donated to a local charity, to be agreed by participants on the day. So if you have a particular preference in that area, tell us about it and we might choose your favourite for our small donation.

Reserve your place now.

What to Bring :

Of course, we hope the day is fine and dry, but this is the West of Ireland. It ain’t no Florida! Bring comfortable footwear that you’re happy to wear outside, along with a reasonable overcoat. Do also bring along a notepad and pen, to jot down whatever nuggets of advice others share with you along the way. And your smartphone, but then you’ll have that with you anyway …
