Siempelkamp gets order from Poland

Siempelkamp has recently got orders for a new product line of Fabryki Mebli “Forte” S.A. Fabryki Mebli “Forte” S.A., one of the largest European Furniture manufacturers, is expanding its product portfolio in the area of self-assembly furniture. The required wood-based material panels will be produced on a Siempelkamp press. At the end of May, Forte signed a contract for a new particleboard plant designed in Krefeld.

The order for a forming and press line including a ContiRoll® press as well as the entire fin-ishing line was placed in May 2016. The scope of supply also consists of a particle dryer and an energy plant by Büttner. The Siempelkamp subsidiary will supply the complete system including installation and startup. The order is complemented by the automation technology and other additional components.

Forte produces ready-to-assemble furniture at the following four Polish locations: Ostrów Mazowiecka, Suwałki, Białystok, and Hajnówka. The new Siempelkamp plant will be installed at the new factory in the northeastern town of Suwalki to ensure the supply for the Forte furniture plants.

The furniture manufacturer which exports to 30 countries is tailoring its new production line specifically to its own needs. Material losses during product changes can be significantly minimized with the new plant. The decisive factor in securing this order was the Technological Expertise of the Krefeld partner: The customer’s particular requirements were put to the test at Siempelkamp‘s test facility where they resulted in a viable solution. A new specialized press design is part of the concept. So is the EcoFormer. This Mat Forming system has accuracy previously unachieved during the mat forming of particleboard surface layers at the lowest possible energy consumption.

“To keep up with the constant technological change, we rely on the knowledge of the best specialists both nationally and internationally. Because of its technological expertise, Siempelkamp is an ideal partner for us,” says Maciej Formanowicz, Chairman of Forte. Board member Klaus Dieter Dahlem adds, “With this new production location we pursue ambitious objectives. We look forward to achieving these objectives together with the Siempelkamp team over the next two years.” The startup of the new plant is scheduled for 2018.
