ANDRITZ unveils intelligent instrument portfolio at Pulp & Beyond Event

The International technology group ANDRITZ is addressing the demands of pulp and paper producers to achieve their goals for process efficiency and environmental sustainability. They are introducing a suite of intelligent instruments, dubbed the Smart Series, at the Pulp & Beyond exhibition in Helsinki on April 11.

“With the introduction of the Smart Series, we are laying a solid foundation for an autonomous future, enabling our customers to significantly improve their process efficiency, reliability, safety and environmental sustainability – and ensuring these improvements are sustained over time,” says Johanna Newcomb, Vice President, ANDRITZ Automation and Digitalisation – Smart Solutions.

The portfolio encompasses an extensive array of measurements, analysers, machine vision systems, condition monitoring solutions, as well as robotics and mechatronics. This suite offers customers a robust foundation in intelligent instrumentation, setting the stage for sophisticated process optimisation.

The Smart Series: Valuable Data – Predictive Maintenance – Enhanced Safety with Robotics

Emission and gas analyzers, along with process measurement and vision systems, enhance pulp and paper plants by offering unprecedented insights into process and machine conditions. Featuring condition monitoring solutions applicable to a diverse array of process equipment and areas, the Smart Series facilitates a shift towards predictive maintenance. This shift significantly minimises unplanned downtime and prolongs the lifespan of both equipment and components.

Integrated robotics and mechatronics applications reduce the need of human intervention in hazardous areas of pulp and paper mills, reschedule regular tasks and contribute to optimising maintenance.

The Smart Series complements and is integrated with Metris, ANDRITZ’s digitalization platform that leverages the latest IIoT technologies to improve plant efficiency and profitability. The use cases at the Pulp & Beyond exhibition include the autonomous log yard and robots for the recovery boiler area. More information will be shared at their booth A48 in exhibition room B6-3.
